Baseball historian Mel Marmer will return to the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum to present a lecture entitled, "Baseball and The Presidency," that links the sport of baseball with the men who have served in the office of President of the United States. This informative presentation will include pictures, historical accounts, and trivia associated with the Presidency and our national pastime. In addition to speaking at the Reds Hall of Fame, Mr. Marmer has also spoken at the National Baseball Hall of Fame, the Smithsonian Art Museum, the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum, the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum, the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum, and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. The lecture is free with museum admission.
Admission to the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum will be 1/2 price on Presidents' Day, Monday, February 17. The HOF is open from 10 am to 5 pm. The reduced admission prices on President's Day will be $5 for adults, $4 for students and seniors (60 and older) and $3 for active military and veterans with valid military ID.
All full-price paid purchasers of museum or ballpark tour tickets on Friday, August 30 - Sunday, September 1 will receive a free copy of the Reds Hall of Fame team poster. Created by noted sports artist Bill Purdom, this 13" H X 24" L the poster depicts all of the members of the Reds Hall of Fame in their period uniforms posing for the ultimate team photo on the field at Great American Ball Park. Posters are free to all full-price paid ticket purchasers while supplies last. Limit one poster per ticket purchaser per day.
