Rainout Refund/Exchange Policies

Fans are encouraged to save and utilize their tickets to postponed games to use for the make-up game. If necessary, fans can also exchange tickets to an available game as designated by the Indians.

  • Rescheduled game to open day or Day/Night Split Doubleheader

    Following policy applies when game is:

    1. Rescheduled to an open day
    2. Day/Night Split Doubleheader(two separate games on the same date)
    • All tickets are valid as is for the rescheduled game. You will need your ticket for entrance to the rescheduled game.
    • All Paperless seat locators do not need to be saved. You can scan your card at the gate for entry to the rescheduled game.
    • In the event you cannot attend the rescheduled game, you may EXCHANGE your ticket to one of two designated games during the same season.
    • Full or Partial Season Tickets can be exchanged for another game if necessary to one of two designated games during the same season. The exchange must take place online through Account Manager, by a specified date. If postponed ticket is not exchanged within given deadline, it will appear as an unused ticket in the normal Ticket Exchange process through Tribe Rewards. Please note that exchanges through Tribe Rewards are subject to the normal points redemption process.
    • Suite tickets are valid for the makeup game. In the event you cannot attend the rescheduled game, please contact your Indians Premium Representative.
    • Group Tickets can be exchanged for one of two designated games, and exchange should be facilitated by the Group Sales Account Executive.
    • Ticket buyers who purchased by Phone or on Indians.com will receive an email with further details on how to exchange for one of two designated dates, if necessary.
    • Tickets Purchased at the Progressive Field Box Office or Progressive Field Team Shop can be exchanged if necessary for one of two designated games. The exchange should take place at the Progressive Field Box Office or Team Shop.
    • Tickets Purchased at Ticketmaster Outlet can be exchanged for one of two designated games if necessary in person at the Progressive Field Box Office.
    • Tickets purchased through Stub Hub will receive an email with further details.
  • Unrescheduled game or rescheduled to a Traditional Doubleheader

    Following policy applies when game is:

    1. Rescheduled to a Traditional Doubleheader(two games for the price of one)
    2. The Postponed Game is not Rescheduled
    • Full or Partial Season Tickets can be exchanged for a ticket that is valid to both doubleheader games. If the game is rescheduled for the same homestand, exchange must take place at the Progressive Field Box Office. If the game is rescheduled for a future homestand, exchanges must be made online through My Indians Account.
    • Group Tickets can be exchanged for a ticket that is valid to both doubleheader games, based on availability, by contacting a Group Sales Representative at 216-420-HITS.
    • Ticket buyers who purchased by Phone or on Indians.com can exchange tickets for tickets that are valid to both doubleheader games at the Progressive Field Box Office, or may exchange for a future game, if necessary. An email will be sent with further details on how to exchange for a one of two designated dates, if necessary.
    • Tickets Purchased at the Progressive Field Box Office or Cleveland Indians Team Shops can be exchanged for the doubleheader in person at the Progressive Field Box Office, or may exchange for one of two designated games, if necessary.
    • Tickets Purchased at Ticketmaster Outlet can be exchanged for the doubleheader in person at the Progressive Field Box Office, or may exchange for one of two designated games, if necessary.
    • Tickets purchased through Stub Hub will receive an email with further details.
    • Tickets purchased through other third party vendors are only valid for makeup games scheduled for new dates, and cannot be used for traditional doubleheaders or additional exchange dates.

    As a general rule the ticket price paid for the ticket will be honored for all single game exchanges when facilitated at the Box Office or Team Shop.
    • If a fan is exchanging a ticket for a ticket to another game that costs more the difference in ticket price will be due at the time of the exchange.
    • If a fan is exchanging a ticket for a ticket to another game that costs less the difference will be paid back at the time of the exchange. Progressive Field Ticket Office Windows and Team Shop will offer Indians Fun Money.
