Indians Community Outreach Mission Statement
The Cleveland Indians connection and commitment to our neighbors reach far beyond the walls of Progressive Field; it extends to the hearts and homes of the many people that support our team. Whether on the field or off the field, the Indians work rigorously to improve the quality of life and share the love of baseball with our community. Through Community Outreach programs and Cleveland Indians Charities, the Indians are dedicated to supporting programs, groups, and activities that make a positive impact on our fans, especially the young fans, of Northeast Ohio.

About the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association
The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association was formed in 1982 to promote the game of baseball, raise money for charity, inspire and educate youth through positive sport images and protect the dignity of the game through former players. Headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the MLBPAA became a place where a player's drive for excellence and achievement on the field could continue long after he took his last steps off the diamond. Former players hoping to give back to the game find the MLBPAA to be a vital, constructive instrument that provides a vehicle for them to be involved in charitable and community causes nationwide.
