Indians Community Outreach Mission Statement
The Cleveland Indians connection and commitment to our neighbors reach far beyond the walls of Progressive Field; it extends to the hearts and homes of the many people that support our team. Whether on the field or off the field, the Indians work rigorously to improve the quality of life and share the love of baseball with our community. Through Community Outreach programs and Cleveland Indians Charities, the Indians are dedicated to supporting programs, groups, and activities that make a positive impact on our fans, especially the young fans, of Northeast Ohio.

Hall of Fame Celebration

2008 Hall of Fame Celebration
Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008 • Heritage Park in Progressive Field
Presented by Continental Airlines
With support from SportsTime Ohio
Proceeds benefit Cleveland Indians Charities

Presented by Continental Airlines with support from SportsTime Ohio, this evening event features the entire Indians team, former Indians and MLB alumni, as well as the 2008 newly inducted members of the Indians Hall of Fame, Mike Hargrove and family representatives of Joe Gordon.

Fans of all eras and decades enjoy a truly fabulous presentation beginning with an introduction ceremony from the likes of Bob Feller to Grady Sizemore. As the 2008 roster signs autographs, dinner stations ranging from Italian to Caribbean will line the Market Pavilion. Guests mingle with celebrities, enjoying dinner and drinks, as they walk through Indians history in Heritage Park. Last year, frosty drinks and a beautiful ice sculpture at the entrance to the ballpark set the perfect setting to this warm summer night. Best of all, over $90,000 was raised with all proceeds benefiting Cleveland Indians Charities.
