SHARES BACKGROUND ON THE CONTEST
The Cleveland Indians present the

2015 Mentor of the Year

After Terry Francona won the 2013 American League Manager of the Year award last November, the Indians created the Mentor of the Year as a way to find and honor other great leaders in the Cleveland and Northeast Ohio communities.

The Indians again are asking fans to submit nominations, and there are no limitations on who nominees can be or what walk of life they come from: Teachers, volunteers, CEOs, community activists, coaches, politicians and anyone else is eligible.

Finalists will have the opportunity to visit Progressive Field and tell us on camera why they're great leaders, and fans then will vote on the winner. The winner and he or she who nominated the winner will have the opportunity to meet Terry during Tribe Fest weekend, Jan. 23-25 at Progressive Field.

Submit nominations for this year's award by emailing a one-page nomination on why your nominee should be considered to FanServices@Indians.com. Please use "Mentor of the Year" in the subject line. Nomination deadline is Monday, Dec. 15.
