Puppypalooza

All participating fans must abide by the following Official Rules for Puppypalooza at Progressive Field on June 17, 2013 and/or September 9, 2013 ("Event")

• All dogs must have a valid license tag and a valid rabies vaccination tag in compliance with applicable state law for entrance to the Event.
• You MUST bring a copy of your dog's vaccination records. All dogs must be up to date on the following vaccinations:
  1. Rabies - given annually, but sometimes can be a 3 year.
  2. DHLP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Para influenza) - given annually.
  3. Parvo - given annually, many times this is included in the DHLP and indicated as DHLPP.
  4. Bordatella - given either every six months or annually. Sometimes referred to as: Kennel Cough OR Tracheobronchitis.
• Dogs and owners must remain in designated areas. Seating during the Event will be in the Bud Light Party Deck section.
• All dogs must remain on a leash at ALL times including when you and your dog are seated in the ballpark. Retractable leashes are not permitted.
• All participants are required to sign the Participant Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnification Agreement ("Agreement"). You must bring a signed Agreement or sign one at registration to participate in the Event.
• Each dog must have a "canine" ticket for admission to the Event, and must be accompanied by at least one ticket-holding adult owner over the age of 18. All participants must register/check-in at the Gate C / East Ninth Street Patio Entrance starting at 5:30PM on the day of the Event.
• The Indians reserve the right to deny any dog or human entry to Progressive Field for any reason they see fit, in their sole discretion.
• Participants are expected to practice responsible pet ownership. If you have a dog that is an aggressive breed, or that has aggressive tendencies, do not attend this Event. Do not bring your dog if it is unpredictable in crowds, with other dogs or with strangers, or if your dog could be considered a dangerous or vicious dog, as defined by the Ohio Revised Code.
• Please come prepared to clean up after your dog. There will be a designated space outside the Carnegie Tent for dogs to relieve themselves while attending the Event.
• Only a limited number of canine tickets are available for the Event, so please register early.

Come to Puppypalooza if your dog:

• Is old enough to be around other dogs and people (at least 6 months of age)
• Is up to date on all required vaccinations
• Is in relatively good health and can walk up and down several flights of stairs
• Does well on-leash and is not overly aggressive toward other dogs
• Is friendly toward humans and not excessively fearful

Probably Not, if your dog:

• Is still too young to mix with a big crowd (under 6 months);
• Is a senior dog that would have trouble navigating stairs and being outside for an extended period of time;
• Has aggressive tendencies towards other dogs or humans while on-leash (or off);
• Is a female dog in season
• Is exhibiting any signs of illness close to the day of the game (ie, cough, nasal discharge, lethargy, diarrhea, etc). These symptoms can be signs of potentially infectious illnesses and it would probably be best for your dog as well as the other dogs in attendance, if they did not attend.

Older dogs, dogs with short muzzles and/or dogs in general that are quickly prone to heat exhaustion should consider not attending this event or possibly plan on not staying for the entire game. Even though there will be cool water and shady spots the direct sun and heat can be a deadly combination for dogs. Water will be served community bowl style. If you require a separate drinking container for your dog, please bring one. Dogs cool themselves down by panting and are not nearly as efficient as humans. Please keep the comfort and safety of your dog in the fore front of your mind when planning out this fun day at the park.
