The Astros Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities program uses the sport of baseball and softball to promote healthy choices and valuable life skills including respect for others, non-violent conflict resolution, teamwork, resistance to drugs and alcohol while learning and playing America's Pastime.
Six automated teller machines operated by Amegy Bank are available throughout the ballpark for our fans' convenience. They are located at Sections 108, 112, 132, 218, 315 and one near the FiveSeven Grille (Section 156).
The Astros upgraded the overall audio system at Minute Maid Park in 2011. These updates allow fine tuning and level adjustments using the most state of the art equipment on the market. Fans will also experience synced audio in suites, concourses, and rest rooms mirroring the content on the TV's and large displays throughout the game. For fans that are deaf or hard of hearing the Astros offer an LED closed captioning display to the right of the main video display. The Astros were the first Major League team to offer this service.
Fans may seek autographs from players and coaches from the time the ballpark opens until the batting practice cages are removed (approximately 45 minutes before game time). Fans will be allowed to wait at the Field Box rails from Section 111 to the Left Field foul pole, and from Section 127 to the Right Field foul pole. The Houston Astros ask that you show consideration for guests holding tickets for these seating areas. If you are seeking autographs in a seating location other than your own, you may be asked to proceed to your designated seating location.
Fans age 2 and under may be admitted to Astros games without an admission ticket. However, they must sit in the lap of an accompanying adult.
Baby changing tables are available throughout Minute Maid Park in nearly every restroom facility, men's, women's or family. Please ask an usher for the nearest one.
In compliance with MLB and Astros security policies, all bags, purses and containers will be searched prior to entry. Guests entering Minute Maid Park may also be subject to inspection by random metal-detection wand. There are no lockers available outside of the ballpark to secure items not allowed inside, nor can any items be held by security staff members. Items that are not permitted in the ballpark and are surrendered to security will not be stored or returned. To ensure fan safety, the Houston Astros reserve the right to refuse admittance of any item deemed hazardous, suspicious or offensive. The Astros welcome banners that support teams and their players, so long as they are in good taste. The Houston Astros Baseball Club does not permit signs, posters or banners which are obscene, slanderous or in bad taste. Management reserves the right to remove any sign deemed inappropriate. Banners may not obstruct the view of other patrons or interfere with the game in any way.

Bicycle parking is available near the Clock Tower entrance of Minute Maid Park, off Hamilton Street at Preston. Racks are also available along Texas Avenue, across the street from the ballpark. Now our smallest fans can enjoy their birthday parties in a big league park! The two-hour birthday party, geared toward kids ages 5 to 14, includes a tour of the ballpark, age-appropriate activities and playtime at Minute Maid Squeeze Play. The birthday child receives a special gift from the Astros and all children at the party receive a party favor from the team. Each fan may bring in one factory sealed, plastic water bottle into Minute Maid Park (Maximum one liter). Fans may also bring in bottles for infants.
Visitors are welcome to bring video and still cameras into the ballpark. Lenses must be no larger than 4.5". Tripods and monopods are not allowed in the ballpark.
The Houston Astros are the first major league team to install carillons, or bells, in their ballpark. The Home Plate Clock Tower, located on the corner of Texas and Hamilton, will not only provide the time but also entertain with various musical selections throughout the year.
Select local nonprofit groups with a 501(c)(3) tax ID letter from the IRS and who serve at-risk youth or members of the US military and wounded warriors, may apply for a limited number of complimentary group tickets to pre-selected Astros games, pending availability. The application period opened in March and charity group tickets are available in specific areas of the ballpark, with a rotation policy to ensure we can serve as many worthy eligible nonprofit groups as possible. The Astros Charity Ticket Grant program is limited to 501(c)(3) nonprofit agencies within our geographic and strategic focus areas, and applications must be submitted for approval at least eight weeks in advance. The Coca-Cola Astros Buddies Kids Club is the Houston Astros official fan club for kids 14 and under. With two memberships to choose from - the free Rookie membership and the $20 MVP membership - there's affordable fun for everyone. In addition to member-only autograph sessions and a kids press conference with players, MVP members receive four (4) free tickets, an Astros floppy cap, spiral notebook, cord bracelet, and other cool items. Developed by Houston Astros owner Jim Crane and launched in late 2012, our new Astros Community Leaders program is an $18 million investment by the Astros Foundation to rebuild youth baseball and softball fields in disadvantaged neighborhoods throughout Houston. The program is an exciting new partnership between the Astros Foundation, the City of Houston and corporate champions including Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, Calpine Corporation, Champion Energy Services, Halliburton, Nabors Industries, National Oilwell Varco, Occidental Petroleum Corporation and Schlumberger. Working with Houston Mayor Annise Parker, the city's Parks and Recreation Department and local youth teams who play at the parks, Community Leaders program is run by the Astros Foundation.

Located near Section 108 on the Main Concourse, the Designated Driver Booth is part of the ARAMARK Corporation's "Serves you Right" program. Any person over the age of 21 who goes to the booth and identifies himself or herself as a designated driver will receive a coupon for a free small soda at any of the ARAMARK concession stands.
The Diamond Club is the ideal location for the finest in corporate entertaining. With a private conference room and a phone/fax room, this is where the deals can be made. The amenities continue as fans enjoy Major League Baseball in extra-wide luxury seats behind home plate with the convenience of wait service throughout the game. Diamond Club seats are sold only as season tickets.
Minute Maid Park is located on the east side of downtown Houston, within the quadrangle of US 59, Texas Avenue, Crawford Street and Congress Street. There are literally dozens of streets that will lead fans to Minute Maid Park. Please refer to our page for more information. The Astros are happy to help non-profit groups and their fundraising efforts through donations whenever possible. Because approximately 250-300 requests are received each month, donation procedures are in place to assist the team in facilitating these requests. Non-profit groups may request an in-kind donation by submitting a request letter six weeks in advance of the event and including a copy of the organization's 501 (c)(3) tax exempt letter. The request letter, written on the organization's letterhead, should include basic information about the charity/event, the date of the fundraising event and a contact name, address, phone number and e-mail address. Prior to games, fans may be dropped off along any street adjacent to Minute Maid Park, including a protected left lane along Texas Avenue on the south side of the ballpark. Following the game, the Houston Police Department will close Texas Avenue on Crawford Street around Minute Maid Park for approximately 20 minutes. This closure will allow for a safe pedestrian exit of the majority of fans at the game. Once HPD reopens those streets, fan pick-up is available along the south and west sides of the ballpark. Immediate post-game pick-up is permitted along Jackson Street on the south side of Minute Maid Park. However, all vehicles picking up at that location must be attended while drivers are waiting for their guest(s) to arrive. Fans who arrived at Minute Maid Park via charter or school buses will be picked up along Hamilton Street, between Preston and Texas, on the east side of Minute Maid Park.
Phones at Fan Accommodation Centers located at sections 112 and 323 may be used for emergency calls.
Elevators for all fans are located in two areas inside Minute Maid Park: at the Third Base entrance off Texas Avenue, near Section 109, and at the First Base entrance off Hamilton Street, near Section 128. Limited-access elevators to the Diamond Club, the Club Level and Suite Level can be found at the Clock Tower entrance. Additional elevators accessing the Mezzanine Level are located behind Section 156.
The Houston Astros are always looking for friendly, service-oriented fans to join our team. The majority of jobs are part-time with most work shifts occurring in the evenings and on weekends, based on our game schedule. Interested parties can check online at the Astros website or call (713) 259-8000 to reach our Human Resources department.
All Astros Major League equipment is recycled for use in Spring Training and for our minor league system. Non-profit groups may contact the Recycled Baseball Items Foundation, which is an independent non-team affiliated charity, at www.rbi-houston.org to request assistance in procuring used equipment for your team or league.
Escalators for general fan use are location at Section 106, near the Union Station entrance. Escalators accessing only the Club Level may be found at the Clock Tower entrance.
No refunds, cancellations or exchanges are given for Astros individual game tickets. Season ticket holders and 28-game plan holders are eligible for our Ticket Exchange Program. Call (713) 259-8300 or your personal ticket representative for details.
Sixteen family restrooms are conveniently located throughout the ballpark. These single-stalled, private bathrooms with baby changing tables are located near the following sections: Main Concourse- 106, 111, 127, 131, 154; Club Level- 208, 214, 229, 233, 252; Upper Concourse- 307, 315, 317, 325, 329, 336.
Fan Accommodation Centers are open during all Astros games. They are located on the Main Concourse at Section 112 and on the Upper Concourse at Section 323. Services include lost and found, storing of large items (strollers, wheelchairs, etc.) and providing general fan information (schedules, ballpark information, etc.)
Letters to Astros players should be addressed to them individually at P.O. Box 288, Houston, TX 77001-0288. If you desire a response, please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Please keep in mind that players receive a large quantity of mail, so a response may not always be possible. The volume of mail also prohibits the tracking of letters and packages. Astros players and coaches do not have email. Please send correspondences as indicated above.
First Aid stations are located at Section 150 on the Main Concourse and Section 334 on the Upper Concourse to serve fans seeking medical assistance during all Astros games. In case of an emergency, immediately notify a guest service representative who will then contact the appropriate emergency personnel. .
Food and beverages are available throughout Minute Maid Park at concession stands and carts managed by the ARAMARK Corporation. See "Concessions" for a brief description of foods offered at the various locations.
Guests are allowed to bring food and bottled water into Minute Maid Park for Houston Astros games. This policy is specific to Houston Astros game related events and does not apply to special events held at the ballpark (i.e. concerts, tours, corporate events, etc.). Items that do not meet these guidelines will not be able to be held or secured by ballpark staff.

Fans are permitted to keep foul balls and home runs hit into occupied seating areas as souvenirs; however, fans must not enter the playing area to retrieve balls or otherwise interfere with balls still in play. All fans, especially those sitting along the foul lines in the Dugout and Field Box seats, are cautioned to stay alert for hard-hit foul balls or bats that might leave the field of play. Ticket holders assume all risks and dangers incidental to the game of baseball, whether occurring prior to, during or subsequent to the actual playing of the game. The Houston Astros cannot be held responsible for the conduct of other Guests when attempting to obtain a foul or home run ball.
Unless otherwise announced, home night games begin at 7:10 p.m. Monday-Friday, and at 6:10 on Saturday. The gates of Minute Maid Park will open 1.5 hours prior to all games, allowing fans ample time to enjoy the ballpark, locate seats and satisfy cravings at the many concession stands.

Prior to the 2009 season, the Houston Astros grounds crew installed a new playing surface at Minute Maid Park. The 2.3 acre upgrade of new sod, named Platinum TE Paspalum, is the first of its kind to be installed in a sports facility in the world. Platinum TE Paspalum is a turf that works well for Minute Maid Park's conditions due to its lower sunlight requirements. Compared to the sod previously used, the Platinum TE Paspalum has proven itself to have a greener color, an improved wear tolerance and an increased tolerance to the shade at Minute Maid Park. In addition, after seeing the excellent results in Houston, two other Major League teams have followed the Astros' lead and installed Platinum TE Paspalum in their baseball fields.

Any items lost or found within Minute Maid Park should be brought to the attention of any uniformed employee. Please notify the nearest uniformed ballpark employee of a lost guest. Lost individuals will be brought to the Fan Accommodation Centers at Sections 112 and 323.
Please remember that game tickets are like money and should be secured like cash. Stolen tickets will be replaced at no charge, so long as a police report has been filed and documentation has been presented to the Astros ticket office at least 24 hours prior to game time. You will be charged the face value for all other lost or misplaced tickets.
A game is official after 4½ innings have been completed. To keep score at your seat, guests can purchase official scorecards at retail locations throughout the ballpark.
Do you know where Orbit was born? His favorite movies? Food? Dance move? Learn more about the Astros fun loving outer-space mascot and to request an Orbit Appearance; the application needs to be completed and submitted for consideration at least four weeks in advance of the event. Rate information along with the online application is available.
Fans are allowed to re-enter only until the first pitch of the game. Fans may re-enter Minute Maid Park through the South Home Plate, Union Station, Center Field or Right Field gates at the pre-designated turnstile. Fans who plan on re-entering MUST have their ticket rescanned before they leave the ballpark and present their ticket for re-scanning upon re-entry. Once the game has begun, tickets will not be scanned for re-entry. Guests exiting the ballpark after the first pitch must have or purchase a valid ticket to return.
No refunds or exchanges are given for Astros tickets. Season ticket holders are eligible for a special past game ticket exchange program.

The ballpark features just under 1200 feet of Daktronics LED ribbon boards. These displays offer eye catching graphics and statistical information including speed pitch and type. The ribbon boards offer 360 degree visibility allowing fans to engage from any seat location. The main ribbon boards extend across from foul pole to foul pole. They measure nearly 4 feet in height and 1,000 feet in distance. Between the Mezzanine levels in right field rests another stretch of ribbon boards. These extend nearly 200 feet across.
The roof of Minute Maid Park provides the best of both baseball worlds - open air and the great outdoors or air-conditioned comfort indoors. Designed in three moving components, the roof spans more than six acres and retracts to reveal the largest open area of any retractable-roofed baseball stadium built today. It is designed to open or close in 12 to 20 minutes and also to withstand hurricane conditions.
The resale of Astros game tickets is strictly prohibited on Minute Maid Park property. Any persons caught doing so shall be brought to the attention of the proper authorities. To avoid problems with counterfeit, stolen, void or inflated tickets, purchase them only at the Minute Maid Park Box Office, over the phone at 1-877-9ASTROS or from an authorized outlet.

Following the 2010 season, the Houston Astros installed two new, high-definition video boards and a large ribbonboard at Minute Maid Park in time for the start of the 2011 Major League Baseball season. The new primary video board is located in Right Field and measures 54 feet high and 124 feet wide (approximately 6,695 square feet), making it the fourth-largest board of its kind in the Major Leagues. The Astros previous video board that had been in the ballpark since its inception in 2000 was 26 feet high and 45 feet wide.

Security officers and uniformed personnel are stationed throughout the ballpark during all events. In the case of a security incident, notify a uniformed ballpark employee and/or nearest uniformed security officer. The Houston Police Department will be on hand before and after every Astros home game to assist in fan safety and traffic management.

To fully appreciate Houston's spectacular skyline, the roof incorporates a 50,000 square foot wall of hurricane resistant glass stretching above the entire left field. So, even when the roof and the glass panels slide closed to cool the stadium, fans can still have the feel of an outdoor ballpark by looking out into the city beyond.
Smoking at Minute Maid Park is allowed only in designated smoking areas. Fans seated in the Club, Suite and Upper Concourse levels may go to any of the roof terraces. Ask ballpark personnel for the exact locations of these areas. Fans in the Main Concourse may visit the patio at Lefty's or leave the building at the Right Field gate. Fans must have their tickets scanned before exiting the building and must present their ticket to be re-scanned before re-entry. Smoking is strictly prohibited on any concourse or in any of the stairwells. The no smoking policy includes the use of E-cigarettes.

Squeeze Play has received yet another face lift in time for 2013 Opening Day with the inclusion of the new brand! The new colors and logos are now seen prominently throughout the area, including the giant player cutouts. The Popular Running Man, virtual reality hitting and pitching games and special Umpire's Point of View area are back, as well as the ever-popular Splatting Cage and multi-story climbing structure. Additionally, everyone can have their picture taken grabbing a home run ball from the glove of new Astros mascot, Orbit! Squeeze Play is free of charge for youngsters ages 4-12 accompanied by a parent or guardian.
A limited number of standing room tickets will be made available for sold-out games only, per the discretion of the ball club. Standing room is designated only on the main concourse behind the green line. Standing room is not allowed in front of the Press Box.
Stub-Hub, the Official Fan to Fan Ticket Marketplace of astros.com, is an online ticket marketplace where anyone can buy or sell any ticket to any Astros event.
The Astros are currently evaluating options to allow fans to tailgate in Astros controlled parking lots. Until an official decision is reached, tailgating is not allowed in Astros parking lots.
After the game, a taxi stand for baseball fans is located on Avenida De Las Americas near Texas Avenue, just one block south of Minute Maid Park.

The main Minute Maid Park Box Office is located on Texas Avenue. During the season, its hours are 8:30am-5:30pm on weekdays, and 9:00am-3:00pm on Saturdays. The Astros Urban Youth Academy, 2801 Victory Drive, Houston TX 77088, is run by the Astros Foundation and provides free baseball and softball instruction, life-skills training and academic support to Houston youth with a focus on serving at risk children and teens. Baseball and softball camps, clinics and other activities are provided at UYA. Instructors also offer mentoring, leadership development as well as assistance with the college application process.

The Astros Will Call windows are in the Main Box Office on the Texas Avenue side of Minute Maid Park, located at the intersection of Texas Avenue and Avenida De Las Americas. Will Call orders may be picked up anytime the Box Office is open. During the Astros season, the Box Office is open from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. When the Astros are playing at home, the Box Office remains open until the conclusion of the ballgame. The Box Office is closed on non-game day Sundays. Please present a valid, picture I.D., such as a state-issued driver's license, to pick up your tickets. In locating your order, it is helpful to have your order or confirmation number, as well as the identity and contact information for the person or company from whom you purchased your tickets. Generally, tickets must be picked up by the party who placed the order, unless that party designates another individual as an alternate pick up name. We hope that you enjoy your game!
