T.A.K.E. Defense

2014 T.A.K.E. Defense

The Kansas City Royals, 99-7 THE POINT and The Ali Kemp Educational Foundation's T.A.K.E. Defense welcomed thousands of females to the ballpark during the past 5 seasons for self-defense classes on the field at Kauffman Stadium

The next FREE class is Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.

The T.A.K E. Defense program represents a living legacy in honor of Ali Kemp, a 19-year-old Leawood, KS resident who was murdered while working as a lifeguard at a neighborhood pool in Johnson County. The goal of the program is to raise awareness and to give women ages 12 and older the self-protection skills they need to avoid becoming the victims of violent crime. Our oldest participant has been 86 years old! Participants will learn basic self-defense techniques, which could save their lives.
