With All-Star balloting coming to an end, the baseball world eagerly awaits the announcement of the teams today at 1 p.m. ET on TBS. 
The Giants clinched a series victory against the Houston Astros on Saturday with a 9-0 win in front of the Independence Day crowd at AT&T Park. 
You cannot say that Manny Ramirez beat the system, because the system nabbed him and punished him. But you also cannot say that he was beaten by the system, because he is back at his post.
