Carmona shut down with hip issue
Right-hander will not pitch in scheduled rehab game on Friday

Carmona, who was originally slated to make his first Minor League rehab appearance Friday, will instead be shut down for the next three days because of a recurrence of the inflammation in his left hip. The Indians had an MRI exam performed on Carmona's hip Wednesday, head athletic trainer Lonnie Soloff said.![]() |
