Carroll leaves with hamstring strain
Utility man exits Friday's game in eighth, replaced by Cabrera

CLEVELAND -- Indians second baseman Jamey Carroll left Friday night's game with a mild left hamstring strain, and is listed as day-to-day.
Carroll was pulled in the eighth inning, and replaced by Asdrubal Cabrera, after feeling tightness in his leg, manager Eric Wedge said. The Indians were expected to have a more thorough update on Saturday.
Cabrera's entry into the game benefited the Indians in the ninth, as the agile Cabrera was able to get to a hard-hit Nick Punto grounder behind the second-base bag and turn the play for the final out of the Tribe's 5-4 victory over the Twins.
Carroll is batting .278 with eight doubles, four triples and 23 RBIs this season. He was Cleveland's everyday second baseman when Cabrera spent a month and a half in Triple-A.
