CLEVELAND -- The Indians are trading in their grapefruits for cacti, and now they've got the schedule to prove it.

With a move to the Cactus League on tap, the Tribe unveiled its 2009 Spring Training schedule on Thursday. It includes a total of 35 games, including 17 at the brand new complex in Goodyear, Ariz., and two against the Astros at Minute Maid Park in Houston just before the start of the regular season.

Pitchers and catchers are tentatively scheduled to report to the $108 million Goodyear complex on Feb. 12, with their first workout taking place on Feb. 14. The full squad will report Feb. 15, and the first full-squad workout will be Feb. 17.

The Cactus League season begins with the grand opening of Goodyear Ballpark on Feb. 25, when the Indians host the Giants. Two more home games against the Diamondbacks and Padres follow before the first road date with the A's in Phoenix on Feb. 28.

Other highlights of the spring schedule include a March 6 home date with a yet-to-be-determined World Baseball Classic team and a March 22 return to Tucson to face the Rockies. The Indians trained in Tucson for 46 years before moving their Spring Training to Winter Haven, Fla., in 1993.

Following the April 2 game in Mesa, against the Cubs, the Indians will pack up their bags and head off to Houston for a pair of exhibitions against the Astros on April 3 and 4.

The 2009 regular season will open April 6 in Arlington, when the Indians take on the Rangers.

Fans interested in attending the inaugural season at Goodyear Ballpark can purchase tickets individually or in full-season or mini plans. Season and group ticket orders are currently being accepted.

"Mini Plan A" includes the March 4 game against the Cubs, the March 6 game against a WBC team and the March 7 date with the Royals. "Mini Plan Z" includes the March 16 Mariners game, the March 20 A's game and the March 21 Dodgers game.

Mini plans go on sale at 10 a.m. ET on Tuesday, Dec. 9. Individual tickets, which range from $8 to $30, go on sale at 10 a.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 13, at Indians.com.
