Why he's available: His name has been the subject of trade rumors this season, with the thinking that he could net the Tribe a huge haul in pitching talent. Will he go? Don't bet on it. Martinez is not only the face of the franchise, but he's still under contract with an affordable option for 2010. The Indians would have to be completely overwhelmed to deal him.
Where might he go? The Red Sox have been a rumored suitor for his services.
Why he's available: Chris Iannetta's emergence as a top-flight catcher has made Torrealba a trade candidate since last season. The Rockies also have seen Paul Phillips be productive in Torrealba's absence. Torrealba is in the Minors regaining playing shape, after having to deal with the harrowing kidnapping of his son in Venezuela. Will he go? When Jim Tracy took over as manager, Torrealba was doing most of the playing and Tracy liked his presence and winning attitude. So there may be playing time for him when he returns. Where might he go? Recent reports say there is little interest, and Torrealba had to deal with a personal situation before he could build the interest. Things could end happily for Torrealba in Colorado.
