CLEVELAND -- Indians third baseman Jack Hannahan returned to the lineup Monday.

Hannahan, who last played in Thursday's series-opening loss to the Rangers, sat out three games nursing a sore left hamstring.

"It's feeling a ton better than it did," Hannahan said. "It's doing good, doing well."

Neither Hannahan or Tribe skipper Manny Acta have serious concerns about Hannahan's hamstring.

Meanwhile, reliever Vinnie Pestano -- who left Saturday's loss to Texas with tightness in his back and did not play Sunday -- is available from the bullpen for Monday's tilt with the Twins.

"I'm anticipating that Vinnie's going to pitch today," Acta said. "He was pretty much ready to go yesterday."

Johnson moving up, though not to Majors

CLEVELAND -- Nick Johnson was in the Indians' clubhouse before Monday night's game against the Twins, but Manny Acta said not to read anything into it.

The veteran first baseman, signed in early March and assigned to Double-A Akron, is headed for Triple-A Columbus.

Acta said not to expect Johnson with the big league club anytime soon.

"I'm not going to speculate on it," Acta said. "At this point, he's not even on our 40-man roster."

Johnson, who has had four surgical procedures on his wrist in the last year, played just 24 games last season.

"We want to take a look at him," Acta said. He's going to be playing some games in Columbus. He's got a lot of at-bats to go before we make a decision."

Indians hold mystery meeting prior to game

CLEVELAND -- Indians players gathered together in a room shortly after the clubhouse opened Monday afternoon.

The coaching staff and the media waited in the clubhouse.

Not much else is certain about what happened. The team, mired in a four-game losing streak that's part of a run in which it has won just three of 12 games, looks to correct course as it begins a series with the Twins.

Two players described the meeting as a players-only meeting, while manager Manny Acta said the meeting was merely the team's usual advance-scouting meeting held before each new series.
