    The Tampa Bay Rays will begin their 20th spring training and ninth in Charlotte County on Tuesday, February 14 when Manager Kevin Cash and his staff welcome 32 pitchers and catchers to Charlotte Sports Park. The players will take the field at 10:30 a.m. The first full-squad workout is scheduled for Sunday, February 19 when camp expands to 59 players, including 19 non-roster invites. For all spring training workouts, admission and parking are free.

  • Rays sign Colby Rasmus to one-year contract

    The Tampa Bay Rays have agreed to a one-year, $5 million contract with free agent outfielder Colby Rasmus. He has a chance to earn an additional $2 million in incentives. To make room on the 40-man roster, the Rays released outfielder Jason Coats.

  • Rays announce 2017 Fan Fest details

    The 2017 Tampa Bay Rays Fan Fest, presented by the Tampa Bay Times, is set for Saturday, February 4 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Tropicana Field. Rays Season Ticket Holders are granted early entry to Fan Fest beginning at 10 a.m. Admission and parking are free. Over 60 current and former major league players and coaches are expected to attend, and will appear at various stations throughout the day along with mascots Raymond and DJ Kitty. A list of those expected to attend is included below.
