    The Chicago Cubs today placed shortstop Starlin Castro on the bereavement list and placed right-handed pitcher Edwin Jackson on the 15-day D.L. with a right lat strain. Infielder Logan Watkins and left-handed pitcher Zac Rosscup have been recalled from Triple-A Iowa.

  • Cubs, Giants to resume Tuesday's game Thursday at 4:05 p.m.

    As announced today by Major League Baseball, the Tuesday, August 19 game against the San Francisco Giants is scheduled to resume tomorrow at Wrigley Field. The game will resume at 4:05 p.m. CT with the Cubs batting in the bottom of the 5th inning.
