CLEVELAND -- SportsTime Ohio today announced it has agreed to televise the Walsh Jesuit vs. St. Edward baseball game on May 4 at 7:00 p.m. The game is part of the 3rd Annual Cleveland Indians Charities (CIC) High School Hardball Classic, presented by 1-888-OHIO-COMP, to be played at Jacobs Field.

The game will feature two of the top pitchers in the area. Walsh will throw Chad Rogers, while St Edward will counter with Scott Moviel in the first ever local High School event to be televised in High Definition. Walsh is currently ranked #14 nationally by USA Today.

"We are very fortunate to have two of the top pitchers in our area face each other on SportsTime Ohio. An afternoon Indians game followed by a great match-up of local high school teams is exactly why we started SportsTime Ohio. We want to deliver the games that showcase and define our region of the country," said Jim Liberatore, President of SportsTime Ohio.

"This game will be the first of many commitments by SportsTime Ohio to provide local programming for our viewers. The popularity of high school sports in Ohio is second to none and we are very pleased to bring this game to Northern Ohio in High Definition," said Pat Kilkenney, Programming Director for SportsTime Ohio.

The CIC High School Hardball Classic is a two-day tournament on May 4 and 5 at Jacobs Field. The tournament, offering High School athletes a Big League Experience, includes six games (12 teams). All proceeds benefit the numerous education and recreation programs that serve the youth of Northeast Ohio and funded by CIC.

"The Walsh Jesuit community is grateful to be a part of this prestigious and worthwhile event for Cleveland Indians Charities. The opportunity to be a part of a televised, high definition high school baseball game is a first in the history of the state of Ohio. We relish the chance and are honored and thankful to be involved," said Chris Kaczmar, Walsh Jesuit.

"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to offer this experience to our student athletes and fans. The Indians are first class and make us feel so welcome. This is our third visit and we hope this great partnership will continue," said Eugene Boyer, St. Edward High School Principal.
