Indians and Reds complete trade
OF Todd Hollandsworth sent to Cincinnati for player to be named; Outfielder Franklin Gutierrez recalled from AAA Buffalo

CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Indians today announced the club has completed a trade with the Cincinnati Reds, sending OF TODD HOLLANDSWORTH to Cincinnati in exchange for a player to be named. To assume Hollandsworth's place on the 25-man roster, the Indians have recalled OF FRANKLIN GUTIERREZ from AAA Buffalo.

Gutierrez has spent most of the year at AAA Buffalo where he has hit .281 (90-320) with 58 runs scored, a team-high 26 doubles, 7 HR & 32 RBI in 83 games for the Bisons. He is 12 of 19 in stolen base attempts and has appeared in 56 games in centerfield, 14 games in left field, 8 games in right field and 5 games as the designated hitter. Over his last 18 games at Buffalo he batted .303 (20-66) with 3HR & 10 RBI. This is Gutierrez's 2nd stint with the Indians this year, as he batted .258 (17-66) with 11 runs scored, 4 doubles and 4 RBI in 20 games from June 16th thru July 12th. He wears # 38.

Hollandsworth batted .237 (37-156) with 12 doubles, a triple, 6 home runs and 27 RBI in 56 games this year with the Indians.
