The Cleveland Indians today named Jim Benedict Major League Scout.
Benedict spent the last seven (7) seasons in the New York Yankees organization as an Area Scout (2000-01), Special Assistant to Baseball Operations (2002-04) and Major League Scout (2005-06) where over the last two seasons he had American League, special assignment and advance scouting duties. Prior to joining the Yankees Jim previously served as the Pitching Coordinator in the Los Angeles Dodgers (1999-2000) and Montreal Expos (1994-99) organizations.
