Indians recall RHP Matt Miller from Buffalo, option LHP Jeremy Sowers to AAA Buffalo

CLEVELAND, OH --- The Cleveland Indians today announced the club has recalled RHP Matt Miller from the AAA Buffalo Bisons. To allow room for Miller on the Major League roster the club has optioned LHP Jeremy Sowers to AAA Buffalo.
Miller has spent the season at AAA Buffalo going 0-0 with a 3.46 ERA (13.0IP, 9H, 5R/ER, 6BB, 17K) in 14 appearances after starting 2007 on the Major League disabled list while recovering from a right forearm strain suffered in spring training. He was activated from the disabled list and optioned to Buffalo on May 9th. Miller did not allow a run in his last 10 appearances (9.0IP, 5H, 0R, 4BB,16K) with the Bisons. He has limited Triple-A hitters to a .205 (9-45) average against, including a .167 (5-30) average against right-handed hitters. He wears No. 59.
Sowers made 12 starts for the Indians going 1-6 with a 6.93 ERA (62.1IP, 79H, 48ER, 19BB, 19K). After going 0-1 with a 4.39 ERA (28.2IP, 31H, 14ER) in 5 April starts, he was 1-5 with a 9.09 ERA (33.2IP, 48H, 34ER) over his last 7 starts.
