Indians announce Division Series Game One pregame festivities
Cleveland Orchestra Double String Quartet to perform the National Anthem, Jacobs Field "Drummer" John Adams to represent "THE FANS" by tossing ceremonial first pitch

CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Indians today announced pregame festivities for 2007 A.L. Division Series Game 1 at Jacobs Field on Thursday, October 4 at 6:30PM vs. the New York Yankees.

The pageantry that is postseason baseball in Cleveland will be on stage at Jacobs Field for Game 1 featuring the Giant American Flag, Streamer Cannons and Player Starting Lineups. The Indians will honor "The Fans" by utilizing long-time Indians fan JOHN ADAMS to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. The National Anthem will be performed by the CLEVELAND ORCHESTRA DOUBLE STRING QUARTET.

Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 5:45PM on Thursday (45 minutes prior to each game) to enjoy all pregame festivities. Jacobs Field Gates will open two (2) hours prior to game time for all postseason games. Gates will open at 4:30pm on Thursday, October 4

With start times slated for the early evening, downtown traffic and parking issues will be challenging. RTA, recently voted as the best public transit system in North America by APTA (American Public Transit Association), will be fully operational with increased bus and rail service to offer fan convenience with transportation to and from Jacobs Field. The RTA walkway connecting Terminal Tower and Gateway Plaza will open two hours prior to game time.

Thursday, October 4 - Use ALDS Home Game #1 Ticket
Friday, October 5 - use ALDS Home Game #2 Ticket

ON-FIELD PAGEANTRY PRESENTED -- More than 170 Cleveland Metropolitan School District volunteers will unfurl and present the 150 X 300 American Flag to go along with the Balloons and Streamer Cannons.
