MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Brewers today removed 2B Rickie Weeks from the National League Division Series 25-man roster with a sprained left knee. He has been replaced with SS Alcides Escobar.

Weeks suffered the injury running out a ground ball in last night's game vs. Philadelphia. By rule, he would not be eligible to play in the next round should the Brewers advance. Weeks would be eligible to return to the roster if the Brewers qualify for the World Series.
