Indians announce 2011 broadcast schedule

CLEVELAND -- Fans hoping to get a preview of how this season's Indians team is shaping up will get precisely that this spring.

On Monday, Cleveland unveiled its broadcast schedules for both Spring Training and the regular season. The club plans on airing a half-dozen exhibition games from their Cactus League slate in Arizona, providing an early look at the 2011 squad.

SportsTime Ohio will broadcast six Spring Training contests and then air a seventh game when the Indians take on the Triple-A Columbus Clippers in an exhibition on March 30 at Huntington Park. Matt Underwood and Rick Manning will provide the voices behind each broadcast.

Cactus League games on March 8-9 and 12-15 will be aired on SportsTime Ohio, along with the tilt in Columbus, Ohio. Beyond that, the Cleveland Indians Radio Network, with WTAM News Radio 1100AM and WMMS 100.7FM, as well as indians.com, will broadcast 20 exhibition games this spring, featuring Tom Hamilton, Mike Hegan and Jim Rosenhaus. There will be 11 live games with another nine being digitally delayed. Ten more games will be aired live exclusively on indians.com.

SportsTime Ohio's Spring Training Daily, featuring Underwood and Manning, will have shows at 9:30 p.m. ET nightly from Feb. 21-25. Bruce Drenna's All Bets Are Off Show will air live from Feb. 27-March 4.

Fans interested in making the trek to Goodyear, Ariz., to watch the Indians in person this spring have an opportunity to do so via travel packages being offered by the club. The Tribe has partnered with Spring Training USA to offer packages costing as low as $410 per person -- a 32-percent decrease from last year's price.

The packages -- covering March 11-13 or March 25-27 -- include the purchaser's choice of accommodations with additional nights offered. A car with unlimited mileage will also be included, along with premium game tickets, exclusive meet-and-greet opportunities with Indians personnel and select players, as well as custom merchandise. All hotel and rental car taxes are included.

During the regular season, SportsTime Ohio will televise 155 games in total in 2011. WKTC-TV3 will air 20 of those games as the flagship station of the Indians Over-the-Air network. All broadcasts -- featuring Underwood, Manning and Al Pawlowski -- will be offered in high definition.

The Indians Radio Network will broadcast all 162 regular-season contests in 2011 with Hamilton, Hegan and Rosenhaus in the booth.
