Confident in health, Tribe activates LaPorta
Reliever Judy optioned to Triple-A in corresponding move

The Indians activated their first baseman from the 15-day disabled list on Wednesday and optioned reliever Josh Judy to Triple-A Columbus.
Manager Manny Acta said at the start of the week that LaPorta would return from his DL stint as long as he got through workouts on Monday and Tuesday without trouble. Acta said that LaPorta looked "really good" during Monday's trial.
"He's a guy that can turn the ballgame around in one swing," Acta said. "He looked very impressive in all of those workouts that he had. He's just got to get out there and compete now."
LaPorta suffered the ankle sprain against the Pirates on June 17 during a rundown after he tried to advance from second to third base on a grounder to shortstop. LaPorta turned his ankle and fell to the ground, where he was tagged out. The initial pain made him fear the worst.
"I thought I tore a ligament or had broken an ankle or something," LaPorta said. "But, obviously, I didn't."
LaPorta entered Wednesday's game batting .242 with eight homers and 31 RBIs.
