Cleveland Indians named 2013 Northcoast 99 winner

Indians Organization "A Great Place to Work and Play"; Club now a four-time award winner as one of the best workplaces in Northeast Ohio

The Cleveland Indians proudly announce their selection as a 2013 NorthCoast 99 winner - one of the best workplaces in Northeast Ohio. The Cleveland Indians organization now is a four-time NorthCoast 99 winner and was the first professional sports franchise to earn this prestigious award in 2009.

NorthCoast 99 is an annual recognition program that honors 99 great workplaces for top talent in Northeast Ohio. The program was developed and is presented by the Employer's Resource Council (ERC). ERC is Northeast Ohio's leading and largest professional organization dedicated to HR practices, programs and services. Since 1999, hundreds of organizations have been nominated and applied for the award, and the program has recognized more than 300 organizations for their ability to maintain great workplaces that support the attraction, retention and motivation of Top Performers.

"We are honored to receive this recognition for the fourth time," said MARK SHAPIRO, Indians President. "The Cleveland Indians culture is driven by core values that foster an environment in which people aspire to contribute and excel. We have a diverse workforce, members of which directly contribute to our vision of Creating Memories, Connecting Generations and Celebrating Families."

The Indians were also named a Top Workplace in Northeast Ohio by The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer in June 2012.
