    DETROIT - The Detroit Tigers Hometown Championship is a competitive, end-of-the-season tournament that has grown from 28 teams to 98 teams in 2016. The double elimination tournament will take place Thursday, July 28 through Saturday, August 6 that features over 1,800 players and coaches from nine age divisions, including Boys - 8U (Machine Pitch), 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U and Girls: 12U, 14U and 18U and is hosted in partnership with the Detroit Tigers Foundation, an affiliate of Ilitch Charities, the Youth Development Commission and the city of Detroit Recreation Department.

    DETROIT - Magglio Ordoñez, who hit one of the most memorable home runs in franchise history when his blast sent the Tigers to the World Series in 2006, will participate in the club's 10th Anniversary celebration of the 2006 American League Championship team on Saturday, September 24 at Comerica Park. The Tigers will host the Kansas City Royals with first pitch at 7:10 p.m.

    The Detroit Tigers announced today that outfielder Anthony Gose was placed on the Suspended List by the ballclub on July 10 for three days. Gose was reinstated from the Suspended List today, July 13. Effective today, the Tigers have transferred Gose's option from Triple A Toledo to Double A Erie.
