A Mariners error in the seventh gave the Indians new life, and they used it. Andy Marte's sac fly tied the game, the Tribe received scoreless work from five relievers, including Chris Perez, Kerry Wood and Joe Smith, and Luis Valbuena's homer in the 11th delivered the walk-off win.
