The summer camp version of Phillies Phitness presented by NovaCare Rehabilitation is back! Phillies Phitness educates children about steps they can take now to ensure a healthy future. They learn the importance of being active through both exercise and activities that they do every day as well as the importance of making smart food choices.

SUMMER CAMP VERSION

Summer Camp Version: Camp program directors Register your camp now to receive:

  • Phillies Phitness Poster - Highlighting muscles on Chase Utely and Domonic Brown and why each muscle is important.
  • Phitness Tips & Activity Sheets - Learn about the importance of warming up and cooling down before and after exercising.
  • Phillies Phitness Pledge Cards - Campers can sign their own pledge card to show their commitment to being healthy.
  • Potential Camp "Phitness Session" - Camps will be randomly selected to receive a Phitness Session led by a NovaCare Trainer.
  • Completion Certificates - Counselors can hand out these certificates to each participant at the completion of the program.
  • Nomination Form - Teachers/Program Leaders will have the opportunity to nominate a student to be honored at a pregame party during the August 27, 2014 Phitness Day with the Phillies.

JOIN THE THOUSANDS OF STUDENTS GETTING PHIT WITH THE PHILLIES

Phillies Phitness presented by NovaCare Rehabilitation is taking place at schools and after-school programs all over the Delaware Valley and if you are a Physical Education teacher or after-school program leader you can take advantage of this exiting free program! The goal of the program is to help put children in grades K-12 on the path to a healthy future through exercise and smart food choices. When you enroll your class/after-school program you receive:

  • Phillies Phitness Poster - Highlighting muscles on Chase Utely and Domonic Brown and why each muscle is important.

  • "Phillies Phitness Teacher WorkOUTshop" on February 27, 2014 - Teachers/Program Leaders can register to take part in an interactive workshop that includes exercises in the Phillies home and visiting batting cages at Citizens Bank Park. Held on February 27 from 4:30-6:30pm you will learn how to incorporate Phillies Phitness into your class/program and enjoy some healthy foods as well.
  • Nomination Form - Teachers/Program Leaders will have the opportunity to nominate a student to be honored at a pregame party during the August 27, 2014 Phitness Day with the Phillies.

PHILLIES PHITNESS SESSIONS

The Phillies Phitness team is on the road bringing Phitness Sessions to camp participating in the program. Participating schools/after-school programs and their students can share us why they want the Phillies Phitness team that includes NovaCare Rehabilitation Trainers to visit and get their blood pumping!

The Phitness Session includes:

  • Warm-up exercises.
  • Interactive games that range from jump rope races to floor ladder exercises - all exercises have students working out in ways that are fun!
  • Cool down exercises.
