Selected by Houston in the 7th round of the 1976 draft...Played professionally for 8 seasons at the minor league level in the Astros organization from 1976 to 1983 as he began his career as an outfielder before being converted to a pitcher his final two seasons...Owned a career minor league average of .250 in 636 games and posted a record of 10-11 with a 5.00 ERA and 2 saves in 45 games/21 starts on the mound...Made his Major League debut with the Astros in 1979 and played in four career games at the Major League level collecting four hits in six career at-bats with a double and two RBI.
