The 2014 Blue Jays season started with a bang as Jays Care Foundation hosted the annual "The Curve Ball Gala." On April 7, 2014, more than 1,000 VIP guests took the field at Rogers Centre for a spectacular night hosted by Sportsnet's Jamie Campbell and Evanka Osmak. Guests were entertained by musical performances from Soular, while mingling with Blue Jays players during the Grand Slam Cocktail reception on the diamond and gourmet dinner served in the outfield.
Heavy hitters from corporate Canada – including Blue Jays ownership, the Jays Care board of directors and the 2014 Toronto Blue Jays players, coaches and special alumni guests – stepped up to the plate to help children and youth in need across Canada. Guests drew for incredible prizes in the Acura Home Run Draw – including the grand prize: a 2014 Acura ILX Tech.
